My husband and I are seeking furnished housing in North Cambridge while we help care for our first grandchild, who is due on June 8th. I am retiring as CEO of a health systems planning agency in Rochester NY in April and my husband is already retired, but will be making more trips back to Rochester to fulfill his duties as a deacon in our church. We're planning on making this a special summer to support our daughter during this important time. Our situation: • Professional couple, non-smokers, no pets • Excellent references available • Looking for June 1 - August 31, 2025 (flexible on exact dates) • Need furnished 2+ bedroom with full kitchen, living area, A/C (A/C is really important to us) • We have a car and need parking (on-street is fine) • Budget: up to $4,500/month including utilities and parking but will consider more for the right situation We're responsible, respectful tenants who will treat your home with care. I'd be happy to provide professional references, discuss lease terms, or arrange a video tour at your convenience. My dream would be to find a location within walking distance of their home which is near Porter Square - e.g., withing a couple of miles would be fantastic. I know that is getting pretty precise, but I can dream, right?

My husband and I would like to rent a home in North Cambridge for the summer as we become first-time grandparents in June. We are looking for a comfortable home to be near-by during those first few months. I will be the primary occupant. I am heading into my third and hopefully final work retirement as I accept the new assignment of grandmother. I have had a rewarding work life that spanned three very different areas. The first was a career of 28 years with Xerox Corporation. My work as an executive across multiple functions and business units prepared me for the challenges of leading a large human services non-profit. I had the opportunity to serve as CEO of Catholic Family Center for nine years. This organization, that serves over 25,000 of the most vulnerable persons across a host of human services each year, gave me the purpose that I was searching for in what I thought would take me to retirement. I was called back into service several years ago to lead an organization in transition. I returned to work-life after 7 months of retirement to lead the Rochester Regional Health Organization, the RRHIO is one of six health information exchanges in NYS. After working through a merger and serving as Co-CEO of the combined RRHIO and Common Ground Health, I am now planning to be successful at retirement in 2026.
