We're two academics, close to retirement. We love our jobs, but the commute from our home south of Annapolis is a three-hour round trip. We would like to try a semester living close to our campuses (GWU and Georgetown) to see if we like it. Between us, we own three apartments in DC, all rented, and a house on the Bay, so we're experienced homeowners and can deal with anything that comes up independently. We have a very low maintenance, friendly dog, who has had a lot of training and is easy to have around. We're quiet and even more low maintenance than our dog.

Comments: We're looking for something walkable to the metro and within a ten minute drive to Georgetown University.
Comments: We're looking for a furnished place, one or two bedrooms, for us and our very well-behaved dog.
We've had many pets but our dog would do better if there were no cats or other dogs.

I'm a former chair and a professor in the English Department at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where I have been teaching and writing and administering for over 30 years. My interests include law and humanities, the history of emotion, and eighteenth-century studies. I travel a lot and currently reside mostly in a small town south of Annapolis, but also have two other apartments in the Glover Park neighborhood, one for myself and one that my daughter lives in.

Comments: We've been commuting to our universities from our home south of Annapolis and want to experiment with living near campus. Ideally, we'd move in before the start of the semester, and stay until the fall semester ends, but we can be flexible.
