Description
I am a University of California professor on sabbatical from September 2026 through March 2027, and will be based as a visiting scholar at NYU. I am looking to rent a studio or 1 bedroom with wifi and room to write for all or part of this time. Ideally I would be located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Queens, and near trains to neighborhoods around NYU (and also happy to walk or bike). I am quiet, tidy, a friendly neighbor, and am very happy to house sit and take care of mail, plants and pets. I lived in NY for 20 years, have many friends and family members there, and am excited to spend seven month in this fabulous city while working on a series of articles and a book proposal. Comments: I plan to come around September 1 and leave around March 31. A rental could be for that entire time, or I could divide up my stay into two periods (e.g. fall and winter quarters)
