Approximately 1 September 2026 to 28 February 2027 (6 months; some flexibility on exact start/end dates). Who I am: I'm an academic at UNSW. I'm a quiet, tidy, long-term resident of Bondi Junction looking for short-term accommodation while my building undergoes a lift replacement (Sept 2026 – Feb 2027). I'll be working from home much of the time, so I value a calm environment and a reliable internet connection. Happy to provide professional and personal references, including from my home institution. What I'm looking for: 1/2 bedroom, furnished Within roughly 2 km of Bondi Junction — ideally Bondi Junction, but also Randwick near UNSW Quiet, with a dedicated space to work Reliable internet (NBN or equivalent) Budget up to approximately AU$1,000/week, depending on what's included What I can offer: A trusted, professional tenant who will treat the home with care Full rent paid up front or in monthly instalments — whichever the owner prefers Plant watering, mail forwarding, light home maintenance — happy to look after the property as if it were my own References from my Head of School, colleagues, and current building manager Flexibility on exact dates if it helps align with the owner's sabbatical/travel plans If you're a Sydney-based academic going away for a semester or two, my dates may map neatly onto a teaching-free research period or an overseas sabbatical.
